My name is Kristina and I am the creator of Shoreline Candle Co. Established in 2020.

I have lived in small town, rural PEI my whole life. I married my high school sweetheart, we raised 4 great kids and did all of the “busy-ness” that that entails while working, volunteering and playing chauffeur to the many activities our kids were involved in.

I was an Air Traffic Specialist by trade and have always been creative at heart. I retired from my 31 year career with Nav Canada in November of 2020 while the pandemic was in full swing. There wasn’t much flying happening so work was slow and the timing just seemed right.

A few months before retiring, I began playing with candle making. My sister was opening a boutique and I thought it would be cool to have something to sell in her shop. I jumped in and haven’t looked back!

I take great pride in my work, and it is one of my ways to channel my creative side. It more than keeps me busy and I find it hard to believe i have been doing this for almost 5 years. Time flies when you’re having fun!

I have learned so much in this candle-making journey. From picking wax, scents and packaging, testing new products, designing labels, marketing and maneuvering through social media and developing a website to doing photography, finding sales avenues, attending markets, bookkeeping and so much more! I have come a long way and have so far to go!
